Tom Grillo
FRICS
Tom is a second generation chartered surveyor with over 40 years experience in estate agency and surveying. Born and raised in Surrey, he joined his father’s old firm H.B. Baverstock & Son in the historic town of Godalming, qualifying in 1967. In 1969, he became a partner in Messenger May Baverstock and, over the next two decades, handled all types of property sales, structural surveying and Fine Art auctioneering. When, in the mid-eighties, the business was sold, Tom Grillo first became Chief Executive of Messenger May Baverstock and subsequently gained invaluable experience in the group’s London-based Country House Department. Returning to his professional roots in 1989, Tom established T W Grillo – Chartered Surveyors which has now become Grillo LLP – Chartered Surveyors.
David Lewis BSc.(Hons) MRICS
David graduated in 1996 from the University of Reading with a Degree in Land Management. He joined Tom in 1997 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor shortly afterwards. Until 2006, David worked alongside Tom as a General Practice Surveyor carrying out Surveys and Valuations on a wide variety of properties in the area. He then spent almost two years working for a small corporate surveying practice, which saw him advising clients on property throughout South-East England and South London before he returned to Godalming to establish the Partnership in 2008.
Tom and David are supported by an enthusiastic and energetic team of qualified and graduate surveyors and secretarial staff.
